Do I have to sit directly in front of a Samsung curved TV to view it properly?
You can view content on a Samsung curved TV while sitting away from it at an angle: just like you can watch content on a standard flat screen TV without facing one square on.
This is because the curve is slight enough for people sitting to the left or right of a living room to still be able to see the whole screen, including the curved edge closest to them, provided that they aren't sitting very close to the TV.
It's also because the curved screen runs a propriety algorithm that analyses the picture to determine fore, mid and background elements and present them in such a way as to create a greater sense of depth. This helps to draw you in and can have the effect of making the screen look wider/more panoramic.
Curved screen TVs are on display in electrical shops around the place: we recommend viewing one for yourself to find out what it's like to watch one.
